OUR ARTISANS
Pampacorral’s delicate weaves radiate the magic of
South America
Our
dedicated artisans work in Argentina, where their craft
has been handed down through generations, ensuring that
each product preserves textile heritage and its true art.
Rich with folklore, ritual and beauty, each piece is vibrant
and unique. Our current production combines the richness
of tradition with the demands of the fashion world.
The raw materials that we use include sheep and llama wool,
cotton and silk. The artisan is involved in the creation
of each piece from very early in the process. At times they
even shear the llamas and sheep themselves so that the hue
and quality of the wool matches demanding standards.
Most of our fibres are hand spun on the rueca
/rueka/, a South American foot-operated spinning wheel.
In this way, each thread has the rusticity and beauty that
the design deserves.
Our garments often showcase wool’s natural colours,
although through bright dyes the fibres can be infused with
magic and fantasy. The artisans’ craft flows from their
hands to the loom where they weave the designer’s vision in
a blend of coloured threads.
Each piece flaunts the sophistication of the design while
preserving the value of heritage and tradition.
